Soon, you'll be listening to Selena Gomez's new song on repeat.
The singer, 31, released her pop anthem "Single Soon"—about updating her relationship status—on Aug. 25.
Simultaneously, Selena also dropped the music video for the track, which starts off with a voicemail from her sister Gracie Teefey.
"Hi!" the 10-year-old says in the recording. "I love you, sissy. Never worry about boyfriends at all."
And Selena takes Gracie's advice to heart by celebrating being single. But first, she sings about having to end a relationship.
"Should I do it on the phone?" the Grammy-nominated artist asks. "Should I leave a little note in the pocket of his coat? (Yeah) / Maybe I'll just disappear / I don't wanna see a tear / And the weekend's almost here."
After leaving a breakup Post-It à la Sex and the City, Selena heads out for a fun night with her girlfriends.
"I'm picking out this dress / Trying on these shoes," she continues. "Cause I'll be single soon / I'll be single soon / I know he'll be a mess / When I break the news, / But I'll be single soon / I'll be single soon."
Throughout the video, fans see Selena and her pals grab dinner, take a car ride over to a karaoke bar, dance the night away, jump in a pool and just live life on their terms.
"Ima date who I wanna," she sings, "Stay out late if I wanna / Ima do what I wanna do."
And if the Only Murders in the Building star wants to date and then part ways, she notes she, "Might not give a reason why / (Oh well) / We both had a lot of fun / Time to find another one / Blame it all on feeling young."
As Selena wraps up her night with her friends and is enjoying the single life, she playfully says at the end, "Well, who's next?"
"Single Soon" was produced by benny blanco—who Selena worked with on her 2021 hit with J Balvin and Tainy "I Can't Get Enough"—as well as Cashmere Cat, who Selena collaborated with along with Tory Lanez for their 2017 song "Trust Nobody."
The single comes amid the wait for the Rare Beauty mogul's next album.
"Y'all have been asking for new music for a while," she wrote in an Aug. 17 Instagram post. "Since I'm not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that's perfect for the end of summer."
Selena isn't the only one dropping new music on Aug. 25, the same day her pal Miley Cyrus released her track "Used to Be Young." And Selena made it clear she has nothing but love and support for her fellow Disney alum.
"@mileycyrus and I both have a SINGLE SOON and we are releasing on the same day," she wrote on Instagram Stories Aug. 18. "We have been friends since we USED TO BE YOUNG. Excited for August 25!!!"
